Nobles County Art Center

The Nobles County Art Center was organized in the fall of 1960 and incorporated in January 1961. The purpose of the corporation is to nourish the arts, and to bring the arts and cultures of other communities, nations and civilizations to Nobles County and the surrounding area.
A different exhibit is offered every month. Opening reception for the artist/s is usually held the first Sunday of the month from 2-4 PM in the gallery.  Admission and refreshments are free to the public.

The Art Center is open Monday to Friday from 2-4:30 PM.

Tours are available upon request.

The Great Books Discussion Group meets every second and fourth Tuesday of the month in the Art Center. Everyone is welcome. There are no fees charged.

A Student Art Show is held in March. Jr./Sr. High School students from area schools exhibit their art pieces.

An Amazing Area Art Show is in April and  invites all artists within 150 miles of Worthington to show original artwork in a variety of mediums. This is a juried art show with cash prizes and merit awards.

Cornstock is a potluck event in August and invites all writers and musicians to perform on an open state.

Art on the shore, is a two day festival which invites artists from everywhere to exhibit and sell their work. It is a juried show with cash prizes and merit awards.  Day-long entertainment, various food booths, and supervised children's activities are featured. It is held the second Saturday in June along with; The Windsurfing Regatta and Unvarnished Music Festival.

The Art Center hosts traditional concerts throughout the year.
