Philosophy: Government access is a tool to help inform and unify citizens. The primary goal is to encourage an active participation in local government.

WGTN-TV3 covers local government meetings including City Council Meetings and County Commissioners meetings.
ELECTION FORUMS
In the month prior to an election brings out election forums . The purpose of these forums is to help our residents become better informed voters and encourage participation in the democratic process. WGTN-TV3 will air these taped or live programs prior to the elections encouraging this participation.
We Broadcast Public School Events
Philosophy: Educational Access is not just about concerts and sports. It is opening doors and expanding horizons. By giving students a chance to develop life skills and learn about media, they are better prepared for life after high school.

WGTN-TV3 covers all local school board meetings live and playback.

WGTN-TV3 provides the facilities and technical support for the production
and airing of the student produced program Trojan News
Trojan Sports
WGTN-TV3 provides equipment, staff and technical support for the Production
and airing of sporting events on public access tv.
Local School Closings
Curriculum Support
District 518 teachers may train to use WGTN-TV3 equipment to use in the
classroom, receive videotaping services as available, air programs of
interest or bring classes to the WGTN-TV3 studio to support classroom
projects.

Philosophy: To build community you need community. Providing an environment where residents can responsibly share their thoughts and ideas can help us all to learn and appreciate our community.
WORTHINGTON COMMUNITY FORUM
Worthington Community Forum is a community access program created to give local non-profit organizations a voice to promote upcoming events, discuss issues, and express ideas through cable access channels. Community Forum is usually an interview format program, but flexible. The Forum offers groups:
· free access to television and its audiences
· a production crew and production expertise
· a professional television studio
· an inside look at television production
· a low time commitment media opportunity
Worthington Community Forum is available to non-profit, organizations in the Worthington area , and other non-profit groups serving these areas.
Community Forum is produced every month, and each installment is cablecast throughout the following month. Appointments for an appearance must be made no later than two weeks prior to taping, but groups may reserve slots up to six months in advance.
At least one week before taping, the organization representatives must meet with the Forum coordinator for a pre-production and planning session. It is in this meeting that any tape roll-in's, graphics, audio clips, etc. are finalized and guests review "scripts."

Video Production Workshops
WGTN-TV3
offers local non-profits the ability to produce their own on-going
television shows. If your organization is located within the Worthington
area, you can enroll in Video Production Workshops
Public Relations/Guest Speakers
If your organization is located in Worthington, General Manager Kelly Reeves would
love to come out and talk about the benefits of local programming. Kelly
talks not only about how you can use the community access channels as an
outreach tool for your organization, but how it can also be used by your
clients in support of your mission.
WGTN-TV3 Community Billboard
WGTN-TV3 displays a message board during time blocks in which no
programming is played on the access channels on Mediacom and Prairie
Wave.
Community governments, local schools, non-profit organizations, and
access producers may submit non-commercial messages for the WGTN-TV3
Billboard
WGTN-TV3 provides this outlet to promote our communities. If you are
interested in putting a message on the board, you must be:
· a non-profit organization serving constituents
in our member communities
· a local producer using the system to promote their cable access
program
· a school or school district with students in our member communities
· an agency of the state or federal government
