Nobles County Farm Bureau
| What We Do |
It is our
membership that helps support the many Farm Bureau activities that
enhance our farm communities and our profession.
Locally, Nobles County Farm Bureau sponsors programs to promote agriculture in the schools with Ag-In-The-classroom, help to develop tomorrow's leaders with the Young Farmer and Rancher Program, and the Freedom Seminar for 8-12th grade students and help sponsor the Farmers to Washington Trip. We also promote farm safety by conducting a Farm Safety Day Camp for students in the summer. We work to lobby elected officials in St. Paul and Washington, D.C. to protect the rights of farmers and their families. "Fortune" magazine has ranked Farm Bureau lobbying efforts on Capital Hill among the top 25 most effective out of more than 10,000 lobbying groups.
Farm Bureau represents the national interests and concerns of our members. It is our members on the county, state, and national level who establish the foundation of our organization. As a result of this process, Farm Bureau is regarded as the voice of farmers and ranchers by representing over 5 million members across the nation. |
